The July kit from
ScrapaGoGo is jam packed with Sunday Picnic by Websters Pages and so just down my street... I love nothing more than to sit and cut out the fiddliest elements from papers and typically, these Websters Pages papers provided me with an abundance of them!
Having been a big fan of very patterned backgrounds, I now seem to have gone full circle and love plain cardstock backgrounds with textures created with gesso, acrylics, inks, mists and pastels.
'Climb' was definitely what we did in this photo taken on holiday last year! We were glamping in a yurt in the Lake District and right above our yurt was a hill, or so it seemed to my naive eye! Once climbing, I can certainly describe it more like a mini mountain!
The photo documents the last of us reaching the summit... layer after layer had been removed and left on the hillside to collect on the way back down! It was only when we reached the bottom that Nina realised her ipod touch was missing and so we had to re-climb the hill in search of it, by which time it was raining heavily! (It was eventually found by Caitlin!)

And a drinks bottle called 'happy' - think there might be a market here!
'Anyone for croquet?' was created in honour of my sister-in-law who came dressed as the most amazing flamingo last year, when we had an Alice in Wonderland fancy dress party for Olivia's 18th.
I bought an Instax mini camera for the event, which proved great fun... and although I really love the quaint images, sometimes the subject is a tad small, like in this photo. So I decided to combine it with a photo taken a couple of years previous at Sea World, Florida.
Having cut out the bicycle and positioned it roughly on my layout, I felt that the images behind the wheels confused so cut away to reveal the wheels on their own.
I had recently learnt how to make your own washi tape, simply using sellotape and rubbing it on to the face of the printed paper. Leave to soak in water, rub away the paper backing and hey presto, you're left with a semi-transparent tape which co-ordinates perfectly with your layout.
A cute little basket stamp (in the monthly
ScrapaGoGo kit you get a stamp included!) provided the perfect platform for a cluster of strawberry embellishments and to finish the pink and green theme, I lightly inked the face of the foam alpha.
So all round a fabulous kit for me... Hop on over to the
