Are you postie stalking?

So March ScrapaGoGo kits have left HQ and are winging their way to your doorsteps. And are you in for a treat!

'What a Picture' is a stunning kit featuring a multitude of manufacturers including Jillbean, KI Memories and Basic Grey. Check out the DT gallery for ideas and inspiration.

The add-ons are always lovely and Slideshow was no exception! I ended up using elements from it over all three designs below!

My first layout"You make me..." focuses on the KI Memories pocket, which I cut down to suit the size of my photo and used a smooch brown mist to bring in the chocolate cardstock.

The second layout gave me the opportunity to scrap photos of our trip last year to Florida and our day at Discovery Cove. I cannot stress enough to anyone going that you have to visit... it's one of the most special experiences that I've ever encountered.

My third layout uses some 'blast from the past' photos.

Some of you may be aware that my other half is a photographer and so trying to get great photos of my step-daughters without him knowing isn't always simple.

I ended up getting one of his colleagues to take a photoshoot at our old house. The striking branches of the Robinia tree were perfect with the limes and ochres in this kit. I used a punch to give me a channel for lacing some Jillibean twill around the Journalling Sprouts, embellishments and photo.

So sit tight and wait for that "knock, knock, ring, ring" and who knows what might appear xxx

A touch of glass

So my second class for the GoGoGetaway is 'A touch of glass' and it is so pretty.

'Encapsulate and protect your precious memories in this pretty and delicate 12x12 LO class. The pressing nature of this lesson will certainly get your attention however don't be foiled by how hard it appears just enjoy preserving your mementoes, lost and found.'

I adore using non traditional scrapbooking supplies on layouts and I can't wait to teach this class.

So without giving anything further away, I'll say bye for now!

Cameos and roses...

Hot on the trend for silhouettes, sneak peeks of Aprils' ScrapaGoGo kit are emerging...

Check out these stunning stamps, I simply cannot wait to get my hands on these pretties xxx

And keeping on this theme, the bespoke cards this month echo the lushness of both the stunning designs and the adorable colour palette of aqua, soft ochre and regency cream.

And if you needed more convincing about this divine kit, how about these vintage trinkets... I think they speak for themselves!

Chinese whispers...

By now I'm sure your heard of the Chinese Whispers CJ going on over at the ScrapaGoGo CH...?

Anyway, I didn't put myself forward to join (much to my dismay!), and if like me you're wishing you had, you don't need to feel left out!

I was especially taken by the gorgeous layout Rebekah did of her son Connor, so decided to scraplift it.

So here's my take on the layout, which itself was a scraplift of a layout by Larissa Albanez.

Nina, my youngest step-daughter, whose 11 made the beautiful flower for me. She's just started coming to crops with me and did her first class which was a canvas. She learn't how to create these pretties, so I asked her if she'd make me one.

Now I just need to learn how to make it myself!

So, I'll sign off now and wish you all a happy Saturday. I've been out shopping, I needed some hair dye, but ended up visiting Asda and coming away with two pairs of jeans, two tops and a cardigan style wrap, not to mention my new PJ's, ready for the GoGoGetaway xxx

If you're going and haven't heard, we're having a pyjama party on the Saturday night 11pm till midnight... yippee! And we get an extra hour in bed so no excuses for anyone to def out LOL xxx

Apart from chatting I was productive...!

I think I must be easily distracted as I'm certainly not very good at scrapping in volume when in company!

And last weekend was no exception! Saturday was a real team building day, so after copious amounts of chatting in the evening, my productivity was minimal. I finished a layout that I had started the week before. I was determined to use a postcard from Paperchase that I had bought recently. There are three in the series and I had already used the other two.

I collect keys and wherever possible I tend to include one, along with book print. I don't know what it is that I love about it, but text really floats my boat!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday evening!

Where has the last two weeks gone?

Oh my how time flies.....

My last post was nearly two weeks ago and I seem to have done so much since then!

Firstly, we ventured down to London for the BRITS, a kind of belated by a day anniversary celebration.... What an amazing event, what an amazing venue, one amazing experience! From the opening performance of Take That, through to hairs standing up on the back of your neck Adele, the whole night was seamless.

So we got back on Wednesday morning, I unpacked Wednesday night, then re-packed Thursday night for our ScrapaGoGo DT weekend... What a hoot!

It was lovely to meet up with my fellow team mates and just spend good quality girlie time together.

So after a lovely day on Saturday, starting with a swim in the gorgeous pool, we introduced Kirsty to Take Me Out! I think it was a bit of an eye opener to her, but I bet she'll be watching to find out if JoJo got a date or will Lucy get picked this week?

Monday morning came round all too quickly, and it was up and out to get back to work. Still only four weeks today and the GoGoGetaway will have already started! I can't wait to catch up with you guys, and swoon over all your gorgeous creations xxx

You might be thinking that it ended there, but oh no!

Tuesday evening, we drove 40 miles from Wolverhampton to pick up Nina, to take her back to Wolverhampton for us all to watch James Blunt at the Civic, only then to repeat the journey and take her back home. Luckily my Mum lives close by, so although it was only a fleeting visit, it did mean that bedtime was just a bit earlier than it could have been had we travelled all the way back to Shropshire!

By the way, James Blunt was also amazing. I would thoroughly recommend seeing him. I wasn't his biggest fan, but having seen him live, I'm a bit of a convert! Hats off to him, he has a real connection with his audience, coupled with a stunning voice.

So in answer to my question, that's where the last two weeks have gone LOL xxx
